Tulsa, have you ever had you vehicle go to jail? Well yesterday mine did. It was an error on my apartments side. They are repaving the lot and mine sat close to the cut off line. They of course paid the towing towing fess to spring her, lol.
Here’s the crazy PART. Under Oklahoma law you have to prove the vehicle belongs to you before they will release it. Sounds simple huh? NOT! The manager and I go down to the lot and they check about the payment which was paid by the corporate office and she tells them is was towed in error. They say we still need either a title or registration. I’m like ok the registration is in the glove box. They hook my truck back up and pull it around for me to see if it was in there. Well there was one but it was expired and they nope. So they hual it back to the back. I’m like WTF? So back to my apt I go scrambling to find the new one, no luck. Thinking the tag agency’s close at five I was just like damn I need a drink, lol. A friend calls and says a certain one is open until 6 and I boogie down there and pay $3.56 to get a new one. I drive back over ALONE togive them the new one and they haul it back around and ask for the ins verification. I go outside to get it out of the glove box and guess what? It’s NOT in there! I’m like what is the deal? They have me sign a paper saying I dont have any and I’m like I DO! I had my policy in hand and they said if I wanted it that I would sign. I’m like okayyy. They pull it out to the outside of the fence and I drive to get my oldest son to help me drive the truck back home. While waiting on him I find the ins verification in my wallet. To cover all bases we return and I go back in and have them photo copy it. My thinking was if it can happen it will to me.
Now your prolly wondering why the papers weren’t already in there. My old truck just sits most of the time because I have a new vehicle and its only driven when we need to haul something usually. Soooo, if your vehicle goes to jail BE prepared!!!
I got my big extra large Margarita at supper, but I still need a massage! How about you?
Gettin' you rubbed the right way!
